Adjacent constructions, awnings come to complete the range of outdoor signage area. as a medium for communication of advertising. Built for protection from weather and sunlight, they are located at the entrances to commercial spaces, terraces, hotels, banks, etc. The most common structures of this kind are
- fixed awnings - console-mounted, built on a metallic structure (steel or aluminum), facade mounted, with an arched or straight profile
- awnings on a wrought iron structure;
The material most often used for this kind of work is polyplan (vinyl coated textile material), PVC, cellular polycarbonate, but waterproof canvas material is also sometimes used.
